Impacted Tooth Extraction
A gum tissue flap is created to access bone tissue, and a small opening is made in the bone that covers the impacted tooth. The tooth is then sectioned and removed through the opening. The gum tissue flap is repositioned and sutured in place.

Third molars, also called wisdom teeth, are the last set of permanent teeth to erupt through the gums. They can endanger your dental health if your jaw is not large enough to hold them or if they are positioned abnormally. Failing to erupt can also cause problems.
